Tha Sages Said

The Sages said: “More than the rich man does to the poor one, by giving him alms, the poor one does to the rich man by giving him the opportunity to do a good deed”But, Who helps whom? They have allways tought us that the rich should give to the poor. So What do they mean?Human beings have many different qualites and these qualites are shaped by our own past and our forepather´s experiences and by many experiences that we reject everyday. When someone asks us for help, our reactions can be extremely varied and contradictory positions. If somebody aprouches us to ask for something, our head is lilled with hypotesis about how to react. When you travel by subway or by train, por example, you can see a lot of people comming with the same message: I require something for you!In our Country, they offer pens, needle and thread, agendas, stickers, CD racks, and perhaps some sing a song. There are of all the ages and stakes health. Some make us very angry, anothers inspire pity in us.What is the best thing to do? Should I help them or not? If I give him something, will be spendet on drink? Is it true or lie? And the child? Will the money go to the person who is exploiting him?Let us read it different: Let us follow the sentence of our Sages of the Talmud: It is our opportunity to do a good deed! It´s true! It is likely that this defenseless child is manipulate by unscrupulous adult. If I give him something, he will continue to beg, and if I don´t give him, will he stop?It doesn´t matter what we give them: a coint, a sweet, o whatever you can. The point is, I think, giving something, beyond wich you think or you can.The sentence of the Sages, helped me a great deal. I invite you to think about it again.
